End of The Row-d

If you're just tuning in, here's the scoop on ROW80

Sorry, I'm a sucker for both cheesy wordplay, and early '90s nostalgia. But it really is the end of the road! And I'm so thankful that I spent the last 80 day working on my manuscript with end goals and a great group of writers driving me forward.

Ghenet, one of my talented write night buddies, told me about the ROW80 challenge, and I decided to join at the very last minute. If it weren't for her, I would definitely be way behind in my progress. Though I didn't quite get through my original goals, I've come far.
As for my adjusted goals, here's how I fared:

1. Finish revising the last 42 pages of my WIP.
Only a few pages left, which I plan to whip through at tonight's write night.

2. Create outline for next manuscript.
Last week I  started small outlines on not one, but two manuscripts. Clearly someone is eager to start a new project.

3. Incorporate new critique group notes.
I still have about 20 pages to go through, which I won't likely get done tonight.

4. Read two kidlit books.
This weekend I accidentally opened up Shatter Me. Let's just say, that pushed me over to three kidlit books - Shatter Me, plus the Future of Us, and A Wind in the Door.

I'm going to stop expressing my gratitude like I won a freaking Academy Award. But I definitely plan to join the ROW80 gang again this January. Who else is on board?

  1. OMG I love the title of this post. :)

I'm so glad you joined ROW80 and it was so successful. You're so close to being finished with your book which is exciting! I will definitely be in the next round. I didn't do as well with my goals this round as I wanted, so hopefully I'll get more done next round. :)

  4. I joined ROW80 for the first time this year, and I'm proud to say I just finished my novel. It hink the big thing was just writing down what I needed to do on a weekly basis. Meeting new people was awesome as well.
